A few random pictures. The top two are Cathi and I celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary! After touring and attending Mass at the Holy Name Cathedral, we had lunch at a Tai restaurant!
Next Todd (Lizi's hubby) came to Chicago for work and treated us to a Chicago Pizza Pie. 1.5 inches tall. So good! Last time he took us to Portillo's for a Chicago Dog! Thanks Todd! Here he is showing us Chicago!
Next is one of our good friends. This is Isabella Delery. She is very, very German! We love visiting her. We are doing temple work for her family. Due to foot problems she has trouble getting around. We did initiatory and I did one named Johann Gottfried Kaiser (1800). The man who administered told me the name Kaiser means Ceasar or emperor. He said he thought to have that name at that time, this individual might have been related to royalty. Interesting. I'll have to ask Isabella.
Next is a picture warming his hands next to my mini fireplace. The flames look so real I had to be careful and not burn myself!
The last picture is one of our district ( Lake Shore 2 District) just before transfers and Elder Pela (second from left ending his mission in two days) going home. From left to right: Elder Smith remained, Elder Pela went home, Elder Rush transferred, Elder Mason remained, Me and Cathi, Elder Vakkaus transferred, Elder Crowther remained. This was a very special District and we will miss all of these special Elders!
