Sister Samanamud

This is Sister Aurea Samanamud from Peru. Such a sweet sister. We visited her and had a very nice little lesson and just talked. She invited us back for lunch-Peruvian food. When we arrived she had really gone all out in her preparation. Notice the hard boiled eggs halves with a kind of humus with a special purple Peruvian olive on spinach leaves. The meal consisted of a heavy bread soaked gravy poured over potatoes with rice. Delicious! During our conversation she mentioned that she made enough for the young elders who should be here in a couple of hours. So it turns she has been feeding the Elders once a week at her house for thirty years. Her food was delicious and I understand why the Elders “visited” her every week for thirty years! We thanked her with a small framed picture of Jesus which she proudly displays in her living room. Also, she is a plant person, after my own heart. I may have to get some starts from her!
